| Beth Tfiloh Camps offers a variety of traditional and specialized comprehensive summer day camp programs. Although they benefit from sharing major facilities and instructional staff, each is distinct with separate activities geared specifically to an age group.

For full-day camp parents who want a later afternoon pick-up we offer an Extended Day option. Located at Beth Tfiloh Camps on Delight Meadows Road and supervised by camp staff, late pick-up hours are 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For Nursery Camp parents who want a later afternoon pick-up, we offer an Extended Day Late Pick-up option from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This extended day program is conducted at Beth Tfiloh School on Old Court Road, the same location where Nursery Camp takes place.

| Nursery Camp
|
For campers who are 2 or 3 years old by the first day of camp. Beth Tfiloh Camps runs this program out of Beth Tfiloh School on Old Court Road.
Register for 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 weeks. Choose 3-days a week meeting on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 a.m. to noon or come 5 days a week from either 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No transportation is available.
Enrichment activities include water play, story time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, nature and discovery, music, physical education, and Friday Kabbalat Shabbat. Children are placed in small groups and separated by age. The Nursery Camp has its own on-site Director, and each group is staffed with experienced teachers. The campers use Beth Tfiloh's state-of-the-art preschool facilities including gymnasium and enclosed playground. The 2-year-old program is under the supervision of the Beth Tfiloh Community School.

| Kinder Camp
|
Part-day for campers who are 4 years old by October 31, 2012 or entering kindergarten in September, 2012. Centralized bus stops included where available. The full day program for children of this age is called Day Camp and is described below.
Meets daily from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. with 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week options.
Kinder Camp introduces all the fun and experiences of the "big kid's summer camp" with an abbreviated day for those who are not quite ready for a full day experience. Kinder Campers swim once daily, with half of the time devoted to swim lessons and half to recreational swim. Supervision for each camper group is provided by an adult head counselor who is a teacher, and an assistant. The Kinder Camp staff also supervise on the buses which, to minimize riding time, is to and from centralized stops only. There is no Kinder Camp transportation serving Howard or Carroll Counties and all campers must be potty trained.

| Day Camp

Day Campers participate in a wide variety of age-appropriate activities including two swim periods daily, one dedicated to instruction and one just for fun. Other activities include sports, arts and crafts, boating, singing, dance, drama, nature, Tarbut (Jewish culture), Splashpad, and playground. The Day Camp program is divided into separate units for different ages, so campers are bunked together with and spend the day with their peer group. Each bunk is supervised by an adult head counselor who is a teacher, and an assistant. Every activity is led by certified instructors and their aides. | Day Camp

Other activities include sports, arts and crafts, boating, singing, dance, drama, and nature. Campers ages 4 through entering 2nd grade participate in Tarbut, our Jewish Culture activity. Second graders enjoy a late stay with cookout and campfire. Third graders have all of the above activities plus they are introduced to campcraft, and challenge course initiatives. Fourth graders participate in archery and have weekly elective clubs where children choose their activities. They also get introduced to our two ZIP-lines and two 60-foot ropes towers. The Day Camp program is divided into separate units for different ages, so campers are bunked together with and spend the day with their peer group. Each bunk is supervised by an adult head counselor who is a teacher, and an assistant. Every activity is led by certified instructors and their aides.

| J.V. Sports Camp for boys

Full-day general sports program for campers entering grades 2 and 3. Door-to-door bus service included where available.
Meets daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week options.
Sports camp for campers entering grades two and three is for those campers who prefer to spend more of their time concentrating on a variety of team and individual sports, including basketball, lacrosse, floor hockey, soccer, whiffleball, tennis-racket-baseball, ga-ga, and many others. Sports campers also enjoy recreational and instructional swim.

| J.V. Sports Camp for girls

Full-day general sports program for campers entering grades 2 and 3. Door-to-door bus service included where available.
Meets daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week options.
Different sports every day, for beginners through experienced players, so campers can improve their skill level and discover the sport they like most. Sports include Basketball, Football, Floor Hockey, Archery, Tennis Racket baseball, Soccer, Lacrosse, and more! Professional instruction from certified physical education teachers ensures a quality experience. Sports campers also enjoy recreational and instructional swim.

| Art Camp
|
Full-day for campers entering grades 3 and 4. Door-to-door bus service included where available.
Meets daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week options.
Modern techniques applied to traditional crafts allow campers to create amazing, high quality projects that will look great. Each week of Art Camp, campers will choose two out of three distinct projects offered, each with a specific medium of focus. Art Camp campers are divided by grade and ability. All campers work on the same projects, but will receive ability-based instruction and project complexity. At the end of each week, most campers can expect to take home at least one large project. If your camper loves ceramics, consider enrolling in at least two weeks of Art Camp. This will allow ample time for multiple pieces to be created, bisque fired, and finished. Weeks need not be consecutive.

| Varsity Sports Camp

Meets daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week options.
Sports Camp is designed with a specific concentration each week, devoted to football, baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, and lacrosse. Each week of camp will each feature one or more of these sports. Coaches will work with the Sports Campers on skill development and game rules and strategies. In addition, some sports will feature visits from a professional player from
the sport being taught, who will work with the campers and sign autographs. We've had professionals like Jonathan Ogden, Marques Ogden, Qadry Ismail, Lardarious Webb, and Mark Hendrickson come to meet the campers. Sports Campers will receive instructional and recreational swim each day, and enjoy sports-related trips.Sports Camp week 1 features football, week 2 baseball, week 3 soccer, week 4 a choice of basketball or tennis, week 5 football, week 6 baseball, week 7 a choice of soccer or tennis, and week 8 a choice of basketball or lacrosse. On weeks with multiple sports offered, campers may only enroll for one sport.1

| Senior Camp

Senior campers enjoy a structured, well-rounded mix of all activities and special events offered at camp, including two daily swims - one instructional, one recreational, and an elective club. Programming includes late stays and off-site field trips.

| | Survival Camp
|
Meet daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week options.

Survival Camp campers explore the great outdoors in a noncompetitive atmosphere, concentrating on campcraft skills such as ropes and knots, outdoor cooking, map and compass, and nature study including plants, animal care, stream and pond life. They develop confidence on our challenge course and ropes towers, and also enjoy recreational and instructional swim. Campers entering grades 5 and 6 will use their new skills on their two overnight camp-outs at camp. Those entering grades 7 and 8 will have a one camp-out at camp and one three-day, two-night out-of-camp experience during the summer. They will travel to a state park, set up a campsite and take part in activities such as kayaking, climbing, hiking, and using their outdoor living skills. Campers must be able to demonstrate basic survival skills and be able to pitch tents, prepare food, and act appropriately to attend overnights or out-of-camp-trips.

| | Travel Camp for grades 5 and 6
|
Travel Camp for 5th and 6th graders runs weeks 1, 2, 5, 6. Campers may enroll in any single or combination of weeks of Travel Camp. There is a two week minimum registration to attend Beth Tfiloh Camps. Travel Camp may be combined with our other program offerings.

Travel Camp campers spend Monday through Thursday taking great day trips to local venues. During weeks 2 and 6, campers stay overnight at a JCC in a neighboring state and visit an awesome amusement park!
On Fridays, campers spend the day at B.T. Camps and participate in the activities and Shabbat experience.

| | Travel Camp for grades 7 and 8
|

Older Travel Camp campers go on great day trips Monday through Thursday, and spend Fridays at camp. During weeks 4 and 8, campers take an extended three-day, two-night trip to a JCC in a neighboring state, giving them opportunities for fun like never before.
Past Trips include: Busch Gardens, Hershey Park, Earthtreks, Splashdown and MORE!

| | River Camp
|
There are four weeks of River Camp offered. Weeks 1, 2, 7, 8. Campers may enroll for any weeks they wish. The level of instruction and activities will advance the more a camper attends.

Brand-new for 2012 is River Camp! Travel to Ultimate Watersports on the Gunpowder River near White Marsh Monday through Thursday and learn kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, water trampolines, paddle surfing, and more from certified instructors. Spend Fridays at B.T. Camps. Campers in this program must have basic swimming skills.

| Leadership Training
|
Meets daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 weeks. Campers must register in blocks of two consecutive weeks, with a minimum of four weeks and are encouraged to attend for all 8 weeks to get the most benefit from the program. Includes transportation where available.

Too old for camp, but too young to work? The L.T. program balances responsibility and learning with time for fun. L.T.s learn about child development, non-competitive play, and disciplinary strategies, and then gain real work experience as they assist counselors and instructors with their camper groups. L.T.s become positive role models for younger campers, and acquire self-confidence and leadership skills2. Community Service credit is available.
