Instructional Swimming
Each camper is placed in a swim level based on ability demonstrated at the start of camp. Daily small group instruction by trained staff follows the Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum. Campers receive certificates of achievement and Red Cross certification cards when they have learned all of the required skills. Our unique pod pool with its graduated entrance ramp lets beginning swimmers ease into the water. Children with more advanced ability enjoy our 25 meter and lap pools.
Recreational Swimming
In addition to swimming lessons, each camper, except Kinder Camp, has a second daily swim period that is just for fun and keeping cool. A triple-decker, double-barreled water slide adds excitement to recreational swim time, and provides excellent motivation for campers to become deep-water swimmers. All of our pools are guarded by many more certified lifeguards and watchers than are required by law.

Boating
Our younger campers learn basic boating safety and captain their own paddle boat on our lake. Older campers practice canoe and kayak skills under the watchful eye of waterfront staff.

Sports
You name it - we've got it! Archery, marksmanship, miniature golf, ga-ga, soccer, relay races, basketball, tumbling, lacrosse, kickball, and volleyball are just some of the sports activities taught by certified instructors using the latest techniques and equipment. The focus is on skill development and friendly competition.

Arts and Crafts
Projects using a variety of two and three dimensional media encourage campers to have fun exploring their creativity. Art educators guide children from the basics to advanced techniques in arts and crafts, including jewelry making, painting, and leather craft. Older campers also enjoy activities such as ceramics, weaving, and copper enameling.

Singing, Drama, and Dance
The spirited singing of American, Israeli, and international songs is heard throughout the day. Drama sparks campers' imagination as they improvise a scene and perform skits and puppet shows. They also enjoy listening to and acting out old and new stories and folk tales. Dance lets campers get footloose as they learn dance steps and dances that accompany popular songs.

Outdoor Living Skills (OLS)
This acitivity area includes Nature and Campcraft programs.
Nature: Our forests, fields, streams and lake provide endless opportunities to learn about the fish, birds, plants, and animals on our grounds. Campers learn to care for our resident amphibians, reptiles and small mammals, as well as our barnyard animals.

Campcraft: Offered only to our older campers, Campcraft teaches map reading and compass use, firebuilding, outdoor cooking, knot tying, safe use of tools, and other campsite skills. Campcraft also teaches how to set up a campsite and live in it comfortably and safely. Adventure Camp campers have the opportunity to sleep overnight in the campcraft area.

Ropes Challenge Course
Climbing and rappelling on one of our three huge towers, riding the 300-foot zip-line over our lake, and a host of other challenging activities are what make this such a popular activity. Our extensive ropes course has a junior challenge section for our younger campers. This is the perfect setting to safely develop self-confidence and to learn the value of teamwork under the guidance of certified instructors.

Jewish Living
Our contemporary Jewish atmosphere adds a rich flavor to camp life, instilling pride in each camper's family's belief system. Weekly Shabbat celebrations, singing Hebrew songs, Mitzvah Week programming and Jewish stories round out our commitment to our heritage.

Special Events
Treasure hunts, sporting events, outside performers, evening camp fires, and day trips for older campers are just some of the special activities that enhance our regular schedule. Camp-wide events include Maccabiah, Carnival, Olympics, Talent Show and July 4th Celebration.
