swim-a-thon |
During instructional swim Thursday, every camper participated in the camp-wide swim-a-thon. It was a blast watching young and little swimmers hop, skip, and jump their way across “The Pods” pool while older campers swam their laps in the other pools.
Now that the swimming is over, it is time to send your completed sponsor forms and money to camp. The money will be donated to Chai Lifeline and will enable very sick children the chance to experience two weeks at Camp Simcha. Thank you for your continued support. |

Unit Aleph |
We have had another awesome week in Unit Aleph. The week started with our Tisha B’Av program on Monday during which we learned of the sad destructions of both Temples in Jerusalem. On Wednesday we had a scavenger hunt for unit time. Everyone had a good time finding clues around camp with the help of our counselors.

Camp Photographs |
On Tuesday, July 27th of week 6, camp will have the final individual photo day of this summer. Campers who were not enrolled in camp or were absent from camp for the prior two photo days will have their photos taken. Sorry, we can’t retake bunk or individual photos. For those who have already received photos and have not sent in money or returned unwanted photos, please do so as camp must turn the list over to the photographer soon. |
Bus Stop Times |
When we create the bus routes we do so assuming all campers attend for 8 weeks. To make different routes for every week to accommodate our flexible enrollment would lead to numerous logistical problems on routes throughout the summer. Therefore, the times posted on your camper’s luggage tags are estimates that will vary from week to week. If there is a week where 5 campers from a bus route are not enrolled, that bus can run many minutes ahead of schedule. |

challah from bt |
This week every camper family received a round challah courtesy of Beth Tfiloh Congregation. The congregation wanted to surprise parents with this token of gratitude for choosing part of the Beth Tfiloh Family for their summer camping experience. Please contact the congregation office at 410.486.1900 for more information about the Congregation and all of the services Beth Tfiloh has to offer, or if you did not receive a challah. |

leaving camp early |
Phoning camp prior to 2:30 p.m. on the day you wish to pick a camper up early and selecting a pick-up time that is between periods will ensure a timely departure. Otherwise we must pull a counselor away from a bunk during an activity period. This can increase the amount of time it takes to get your camper ready to go. With all of the buses pulling in to camp at 3:20, we prefer afternoon pick-ups to occur promptly at 3:45 p.m. as to avoid blocking the buses. |
